Hurricane Glass

As the name of the glass indicated the hurricane glass is designed to serve the hurricane cocktail. For those with a sweet tooth the hurricane is a great cocktail. Fruit juice and syrup are the two ingredients that make this cocktail an easy drink. Add rum and you have a strong cocktail with a sweet taste.

It is said that Pat O’Brien, a bar owner in New Orleans came up with the drink. He could not sell the rum he had to buy from local suppliers so had to come up with a way to shift his stock. By adding the sweet ingredients the drink caught on.

Hurricane glass

These days the rum is often replaced with whiskey or scotch.
